As I was looking why the bolt function wasn't glass smooth I happened to notice that it wasn't an 1895 Chilean Mauser at all but a 1893 Mauser with a generic DWM side-wall address with a C-prefix serial number. My 1893 ZAR-Chilean came from Chile with a 1895 Mauser bolt. The 18 do not.Ĥ- the 1895 will not fit a 1893 or 1896 stock (I've tried).ĥ- 1893 bolt face is squared on the bottom. 1895 are wider.ģ- the 1895 model has a notch for the bolt handle.
